OUR MISSION
Founded by NASCAR notable, Mike Calinoff, the Full Throttle Racing Academy is the first and only racing school which features current NASCAR Drivers, Crew Chiefs, Team Members and Industry Professionals as their instructors. The basic philosophy is that you can best learn from those who are currently driving and working at the highest levels of NASCAR. Their successes translate to your successes -- both on and off the race track.
As a school, we are interested in those students who are currently racing on a regular basis. This is not a "ride-along" or "fan experience" program. We seek committed racers who are:
1. Looking for the driving tools and chassis knowledge to advance to the next level.
2. Interested in being evaluated and educated by a NASCAR driver or professional.
3. Preparing for a scheduled test with a NASCAR team.
We evaluate the many elements associated with Driver Development. Car control, equipment management and "big picture thinking" are just some of the topics we'll cover on and off the track.
OUR CARS
The Full Throttle Racing Academy does not own a fleet of "school cars" which have been out of competition, wrecked or re-converted show cars. Our Legends, Super Trucks, Late Models and Busch Series cars are provided to us by winning teams on an as-needed basis. They are all state-of-the-art competitive cars, with fresh motors and the latest safety equipment. They are all "rulebook legal" so that our assessment can be of the most comprehensive and accurate nature. Our equipment suppliers are as follows:
Legends: Dan Snyder Racing (link)
Super Trucks: Scott Whitaker Racing
Late Models: David Stremme Racing (link)
NASCAR Busch Series: Fitz Motorsports (link)
